Combining a field of Ontario hemp!!

- An unmodified John Deer 6620 combine was used to chop the stalks and seperate the seed. Running at 1/2 to 1/3 of its usual rate, a field of 15-20 acres could be combined in a day.
- Despite the density of plants, the combine experienced very little difficulty mowing the crop. The only problem encountered was the occasional plugging of several of the more worn guards.

- The cutting bar was raised to near maximum height of 3 1/2 feet, which maximized seed yield but decreased stalk (fibre) yield.
